Aquannette Chinnery

Gospel recording artist Aquannette Chinnery of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands is a born-again Christian singer/songwriter whose CD titled "Who Is Like Unto You?" written by Aquanette and Loris Holland, features contemporary, traditional, and Caribbean gospel (gospel reggae and soca/calypso gospel). The CD was nominated in 2003 for Top Gospel CD International and the song "Sweet" from her CD was nominated for Top International Gospel Song of the Year at the 3rd Annual Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel Music Awards.

Aquannette's ministry focus is to spread the gospel across the world in song, particularly to Caribbean people and the lovers of Caribbean gospel music genres, as well as to lovers of contemporary and traditional gospel. She continues to give glory and honor to God the Father, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

As a solo artist, she continues to minister in song at events throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands, the U.S. mainland, and the Caribbean. In April 2004, she was one of the opening acts at a concert in Gainesville, Florida featuring RiZen (2004 Stellar Awards new artist winners and 2004 Dove Award Nominees). On May 2, 2004, she sang at the Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat in Las Vegas, Nevada, which introduced her music ministry to a much larger audience, especially when the selection that she sang was featured on the TV broadcast Bobby Jones (Gospel Industry Retreat) on the WORD network, which lists in the 2nd quarter 2003 newsletter on the WORD network website that the network has at least 30 million subscribers in the U.S. alone. She was blessed to be one of the artists ministering on the same session as Dorothy Norwood.
